Post: settlement? work comp

Posted by brian, bdmolloy@yahoo.com, on 11/23/02

I had a corneal transplant in my eye in 12/01. I was
released to full duty by my surgeon and my opthamologist in
2/02. I went to work for a company out of AR in 3/02 and in
9/02 I fell off of my truck at work(I am a driver) and re
injured my eye. My doctor says that I may not ever see well
enought to pass a D.O.T. physical again(20/40 or better).
Before the accident I was seeing 20/20 on good days and
20/30 on bad days. I have the company's own Doctor saying
that I had 20/20 the day they gave me a pre-employment drug
screen and physical. I will never be able to drive a truck
over the road again, do I have a case and what would be a
    reasonable settlement?
